I grew up near San Francisco, California, where lightning-initiated wildfires drew me to atmospheric sciences in August 2020. I now study pyrocumulonimbus (pyroCb) storms, or storms initiated by the heat from intense wildfires. During my undergrad, I majored in Atmospheric Sciences and Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and explored projects in extreme snowfall, derecho forecasting, and dry thunderstorms. I was also involved in lots of music at MIT, particularly relating to environmental themes. In my free time, I like to listen to video game soundtracks, find new ramen shops, and lay on the grass to watch clouds.
