Drop notes: Good drop. Launched to S of E-W convective line to East of Luzon. Fair amount of alto cloud cover in area, difficult to perceive line location from cams. Likely cloud layers at 650 and 900 mb

Drop notes: Good drop. Dropped to S of 2nd, more substantial E-W convective line. Clear or mostly clear air below

SF11_S03_N2ndconvline_qc

Download Data from this drop (NetCDF)

Drop notes: Good drop. Launched just to the N of 2nd convective line. Some cloud cover below but mostly clear further to N. Probable cloud from ~740-790 mb, very interesting temperature profile for that. Isothermal capping an inversion, above a more neutral lapse rate that caps another inversion

Drop notes: Good drop, launched over long and wide cloud line extending from SE to NW to the N of Luzon. Opaque stratocumulus (I think too low to be alto?) below with cloud between ~680 to 900 mb. Large wind shift from 340 at top to 225 deg around 820 mb, w/ shift up to 350 at ~915 mb and then back to ~225 at surface

Drop notes: Good drop. Launched at top of box spiral at NW end of cloud line worked for most of the day. Likely alto (?) layer with cloud top height around 625 mb, other likely cloud layers beneath at ~775 and ~940 mb. Distinct shifts in wind direction and slightly less so speed with height
